Men are not the only

Once visitation was improved '96, bm used to try different manipulations regarding the washing of clothes. She told ss his clothes couldn't be washed with ours, I wasn't allowed to wash his clothes cuz I use a dryer rather than hanging his clothes up to dry...Her demands didn't change how we do things in our home.

When visitation had improved, 10yo ss had to learn that in our home the kids are self-sufficient. He used to stand outside the kitchen floor waiting for someone to go by to ask them to get him something to eat or drink.  In our home the kids can get their own snacks, drinks, and their own dinner when they need to. One time my eldest daughter was babysitting the kids.  She bought them Mc Donalds. Ss waited patiently at the table for my daughter to unpack his kid's meal. My eldest told him he could unpack his own kid's meal. 

Ss wasn't familiar with a microwave, searching thru leftovers for a snack, preparing his own food. He's learning. 

My daughters wash their own clothes.  Once dh won custody summer '99, ss began washing his own clothes too.

Bm still attempts manipulations regarding ss's wash.  She wanted him to bring his laundry where she'd wash his clothes then she changes her mind and demands the laundry be done before he goes to her home - back and forth, back and forth, trying to intrude.

Doesn't change what our family does. Ss can wash his clothes or not.  His problem, her game.
