I learned the following line in high school drama. Never
forgot it (audio). Redhead to Brunette,
"Honey, you musn't be too efficient. Not on your feet. You don't let them know what you can really
do until you're ready for the divorce."Cheryl

One time after one of the beatings I took from my ex, I found one of his
"hidden" whiskey bottles, poured some of the whiskey out and added some

03/10/2001 Ann Landers Column "I have a solution for the woman whose ex-mother-in-law shows up with toys for her little granddaughter and then takes the toys back when she leaves. My ex-husband used this selfish , manipulative tactic on our 2-year-old. It upset me more than it did my son. The child got over his frustration in 15 minutes, but I was furious for the entire day. My 5-year-old daughter solved the problem. She said, 'Mommy, just tell him those toys belong to Daddy and he wants to take them home to play with them when he leaves.' My son understood that concept, and since then, has never asked twice about the toys Daddy brings and takes away. It is easy for him to understand that these toys belong to someone else. Now my ex-husband cannot use this as a way to get back at me. Nice? I thought so. --Evening the Odds in New Jersey

this book help me to articulate the words to describe what is clearly abuse.
This book is one of the most powerful books I have ever read and one I fully
connected too.
